Terms of engagement.

How we quote, how we bill, who owns what, and how either of us stops.

§ 01
Quotes and fees
Quotes are fixed, written against a brief, and valid for thirty days. The number in the quote is the number on the invoice. If the brief changes materially we re-quote before doing the work, never after it.
§ 02
Payment
Fifty per cent on commencement, fifty per cent on delivery, payable inside fourteen days. Projects longer than eight weeks are billed monthly instead. Late payment carries statutory interest, which we have never actually charged anybody.
§ 03
Ownership
You own the final artwork outright once the final invoice is paid. Working files, exploratory routes and unused directions remain ours. Fonts are licensed in your name, by you, before delivery — we will tell you exactly what to buy.
§ 04
Our portfolio
We show finished work in our portfolio and case studies once it is public. If your project is sensitive, say so at the start and we will agree an embargo or leave it out entirely.
§ 05
Revisions
Every band includes two full rounds of revision at the stages set out in the quote. Further rounds are billed at the day rate, agreed in writing first.
§ 06
Cancellation
Either side can stop a project in writing. You pay for work completed to that point, we hand over what exists, and there is no penalty on top. Nobody has ever needed this clause, but it is here.
The colophon

This site is set in Bricolage Grotesque, Literata and Martian Mono, and printed in sixteen Risograph inks — one for every project in the book. Built in Framer, in Leith.
