The studio

Four people who will not stop printing things.

COLOPHON is a design practice in Leith. We work print-first and screen-second, because the constraint makes the thinking honest — and because a thing you can hold is harder to argue with.

Knows which paper will curl and tells you before the quote, not after.
What we keep insisting
01
One ink is a decision. Sixteen is a system.
02
If it cannot be printed, it is not finished.
03
The proof is the argument. Slides are not proofs.
04
We would rather lose the pitch than the point.
A studio is just a room where somebody keeps insisting.
